Hovell is the founding head of SDSU's Division of Health Promotion and Behavioral Science, Graduate School of Public Health (GSPH). In 1988, he founded the Center for Behavioral Epidemiology and Community Health (CBEACH).
Areas of Expertise
Health promotion, child development, second hand smoke, migrant populations, risk reduction practices for medical concern, pregnancy prevention in adolescents.
