MTS Gives Aztecs a Free Ride
On Earth Day, April 22, students, faculty and staff with valid Red IDs will be able to ride public transportation for free to and from campus.
Go green with MTS on Earth Day, April 22 by taking public transit for free to SDSU.
For one day only, students, faculty and staff may ride to and from SDSU by showing a valid Red ID card on any MTS bus or Trolley line.
Public transit is consistently the top way to go green – for every mile traveled on public transit, riders will produce 95 percent less carbon monoxide than driving.
There are several ways to get to SDSU via public transit with nine bus routes and the Green Line Trolley dropping off directly at the SDSU Transit Center.

MTS on campus
On Wednesday, April 22, SDSU students, faculty and staff can visit the MTS booth to plan a trip on the MTS bus and Trolley, get more information about public transit and learn how MTS's fleet of compressed natural gas buses is keeping the air clean.
MTS passes
SDSU faculty and staff can also purchase discounted monthly MTS passes at the Aztec Center Ticket Office for $62. Regularly $68, a montly pass allows unlimited rides on MTS buses and the Trolley each month.
And every semester, MTS offers an SDSU Student Semester Pass. For just $154, students get unlimited rides on MTS public transportation all semester.
Whether traveling to the Mission Bay Aquatic Center or to go see an Aztec football game — the MTS passes allow students, faculty and staff to take advantage of the SDSU Transit Center on campus and avoid the hassles of traffic and parking.
