SDSU Police Employees Recognized
SDSU Police Officer Nate Julien and Community Service Officer Diana Rose were both recognized for their work.
Earlier this month, two SDSU Police employees were recognized for their work by local organizations.
MADD recognition for Officer Nate Julien
SDSU Police Officer Nate Julien recently received the "Outstanding DUI Officer of the Year" award from the San Diego Chapter of Mothers against Drunk Driving (MADD). Officer Julien, who has been with the SDSU Police Department for more than two years, made 77 drunk driving arrests this past year.
He has shown dedication to the proactive enforcement of DUI-related offenses in the SDSU area and his efforts warranted a personal phone call from Paula Myers, MADD law enforcement liaison for Southern California. This is the second consecutive year that Officer Julien has received this award for the SDSU Police Department.
CAPE honors CSO Diana Rose
SDSU Police Community Service Specialist Diana Rose was also recently honored by the California Association of Property and Evidence (CAPE) for her work with that agency.
The legal requirements of property and evidence storage are tremendously complex and Rose has been instrumental in redeveloping the presence of the San Diego Chapter and coordinating training and quarterly meetings.
She also served on the committee that brought CAPE's annual conference to San Diego. She received the Property and Evidence Officer of the Year award from the San Diego County Chapter.
