Extended Studies Recognized for Marketing Excellence
The college received gold, silver and bronze awards from the University Continuing Education Association.
San Diego State University’s College of Extended Studies recently won gold, silver and bronze awards in the University Continuing Education Association (UCEA) 2010 Marketing and Publications Awards competition. UCEA is the professional association for those who work in the area of continuing education.
Three projects awarded
The college brought home gold in the “Interactive Marketing: E Communication” category for its SDSU College of Extended Studies Intranet that helps to keep the college’s employees updated on its latest news and marketing activities.
The college was awarded silver honors in the “Promotion/Publicity Media Release” category for its news release on new CES green-related certificate programs unveiled in 2009.
And, a bronze award was earned in the “Print Publications: General catalog or tabloid” area for the CES Osher Lifelong Learning Institute catalog designed to announce a wide array of fascinating topics for the program’s age “50 or better” lifelong learning students.
'A very gratifying honor'
“It is a very gratifying honor to be recognized nationally for the marketing excellence we see every day here at the College of Extended Studies,” said Joe Shapiro, dean of the College of Extended Studies.
“These awards recognize three of the college’s key innovations in bringing the excellence of San Diego State University to the greater San Diego community.”
