SDSU Hosts CDC Regional Conference
Research by CDC's Epidemic Intelligence Service was the topic of conversation at the annual event.
Sexually transmitted infections, foodborne illness and drug use are not a normal topic of conversation. But earlier this month, they highlighted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Epidemic Intelligence Service Western Regional Conference.
Hosted by the SDSU Graduate School of Public Health, the March 10 event at the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center showcased the results from EIS officer-led investigations of recent disease outbreaks.
Wide variety of health topics discussed
Other topics included outbreaks of infectious diseases, disease surveillance and health behavior.
