Aztec Apparel Goes Business Casual
Calvin Klein, Van Heusen and Izod are among the SDSU Bookstores newest brands.
Sometimes a T-shirt just doesn’t cut it.
SDSU alumni, faculty, staff and fans everywhere have new fashions to choose from when it comes to adding a bit of Aztec pride to their business casual attire. Calvin Klein, Van Heusen and Izod are the newest name brands to be made available with the SDSU imprint.
Pilot program
The SDSU Bookstore, a member of the National Association of College Stores, is the pilot location providing these brands as part of a broader NACS initiative.
The College Store of 2015 project stems from the group's study reaffirming that campus store consumers are looking for more than just the typical logoed merchandise from their retailers.
Workplace-appropriate attire
Todd Summer, campus stores director for Aztec Shops, said he expects the new apparel line will be most popular with alumni and faculty/staff in the workplace and at SDSU-related events.
“We’re always evaluating what it takes to meet the needs of our campus community,” Summer said. “It’s not just students that have Aztec pride, but working professionals as well, and adding these three admired brands helps us better serve them.”
Available apparel
The new apparel — including imprinted men’s and women’s long-sleeve button-down and polo shirts as well as women’s light sweaters — is available now at the on-campus SDSU Bookstore and online at SDSUBookstore.com.
