Explore SDSU Open House is a free all-campus event featuring an information fair, academic program workshop, tours and open houses. This is a great opportunity for future students to explore what life is like as an SDSU Aztec.

The university open house for students, family, alumni and interested members of the community begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 17.

SDSU alumni are also invited back to campus to reconnect with favorite programs and departments, enjoy live entertainment, visit the Alumni Center, and explore campus to see what’s changed.

In addition to activities for prospective students and alumni, there are dozens of activities for attendees of all ages.

Prospective and admitted students

Prospective and admitted students are encouraged to register for Explore SDSU.

Orientation — What's the Difference?

While Explore SDSU introduces students to the university, New Student Orientation assists students with their academic transition. If a student can only visit SDSU once, it is advised to attend orientation.

All newly admitted students are expected to attend New Student Orientation in the summer prior to enrollment. There students receive essential academic planning and course registration assistance, an earlier date to register for classes, and a personalized advising packet showing what classes to take.
