Dalai Lama Shares Compassion
Watch video: His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama charmed the SDSU audience in a talk about forgiveness, tolerance and optimism.
At times serious, at other times amusing, and inspiring throughout, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama engrossed a capacity crowd at Viejas Arena Thursday with his views of peaceful fulfillment.
His address lasted more than an hour, covering far ranging topics from WWII to 9/11 to social media, with a common thread of love and understanding.
After his prepared remarks, he answered questions submitted by SDSU faculty, staff and students.
He was welcomed by SDSU President Elliot Hirshman, and Mayor Jerry Sanders presented him the key to the city. Laurene Powell Jobs, wife of the late Steve Jobs, introduced the Dalai Lama.
