Parking Advisory for Dalai Lama Visit, April 19
Guests are strongly encouraged to use public transportation, including bus, trolley and shuttles from Qualcomm Stadium.
Classes will be in session during His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s April 19 visit to San Diego State University and parking on campus will be limited to those displaying a DMV disabled placard or plate in Parking Structure 4 only.
The special events parking management plan will be implemented for this event, allowing parking for students, faculty and staff in all parking structures with the exception of no student parking in Parking Structure 4.
Doors to Viejas Arena will close at 9 a.m., which is 30 minutes prior to the program start time. To guarantee entrance, please arrive at least an hour in advance.
All other guests are encouraged to use public transportation.Options include:
• Bus
• Trolley
• Qualcomm Stadium Park and Ride
Qualcomm Stadium Park and Ride
Attendees may also park at Qualcomm Stadium for free and will have the option of taking a shuttle or riding the trolley to SDSU. The shuttles will begin departing Qualcomm at 7 a.m.
If shuttles are at capacity, attendees will need to purchase a ticket to ride the trolley to SDSU.
Following the event, a limited number of shuttles will leave SDSU to Qualcomm Stadium. Trolleys returning to Qualcomm will depart every five minutes.
