San Diego State University School of Theatre, Television, and Film announced a new telling of a classic tale in its presentation of “Peter Pan & Wendy." The play opens Nov. 16 at the Don Powell Theatre.

Margaret Larlham, the play’s director said that audiences will find the play new and fresh — a very different experience from seeing a film or reading the book.

This production offers audiences a unique adventure including puppets, new song compositions and a live rock band onstage.

“Audiences of all ages will find ways of connecting,” Larlham said. “The story of Peter Pan, Wendy, Hook and the fairies is one that has captured the imagination and feelings of generations past.”

SDSU’s master of fine arts design students designed unique costumes, sets and lighting for the show, and the cast is comprised mostly of undergraduate students.
