1. Why did you choose SDSU?

I chose San Diego State University because I knew that SDSU has so much to offer. Culturally, educationally and socially, this school has more to offer than most schools out there.

2. What inspired you to declare your major?

Initially being undeclared for my first year, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Now being a business marketing major, I can say that this school provided me with such a rich network of people and opportunities.

3. What is the best piece of advice you ever received?

“If you want something you’ve never gotten, you have to do something you’ve never done.” This advice had an impact on me. Whenever things aren't going as planned, I stop myself, re-asses what I’m doing and make the necessary changes.

4. What are your future goals?

I am still not sure with where I want to end up, but I do know that I want to further my education by getting my master’s degree. I am not sure where I want to work, but I do know that I want to work where I can be surrounded by people.

5. What is the first website you look at every day?

The first website I look at every day is Google, because it’s my home website. However, I continue to my e-mail, and maybe Facebook after that.

6. What experience at SDSU has changed your life the most?

Running in the Associated Student’s elections the past two springs changed my life drastically. Whether a victory or a heartbreaking loss, I was able to learn so much about myself and those I surrounded myself with.

7. What is the most interesting or surprising thing about you?

I would have to say that I have absolutely no shame. I am not afraid to be myself in front of people. In turn, people open up to me quickly. I would assume when people see that I am making a fool of myself, they are more willing to meet me.

Bonus questions

1. What was the last movie you saw? Thumbs up or down?

The last movie I saw was called “Mystery Men” and I would have to give it a thumbs up! It was released in 1999 and has plenty of great actors. It's a quirky superhero movie that made me laugh.

2. What city would you like to visit or visit again?

I would love to go to anywhere I haven’t been yet. After traveling a little here and there, I find that the most educational experiences are the ones you’ve never been through before. Revisiting would be cool, but there’s nothing like the feeling you get from being somewhere you’ve NEVER been before!

3. What kind of music do you listen to/what are your favorite bands?

It is easy to learn once getting to know me, that I am a huge fan of Michael Jackson’s music. Whenever his music comes on, it is impossible to keep me from dancing around and being goofy. I dress up for Aztec Basketball games as “Michael Jaztec.” Keep a look out!
