SDSU Hosts NCAA Tournament

A visitor's guide to the NCAA Tournament at SDSU.

San Diego State University will play host to eight men's basketball teams in the upcoming NCAA tournament this week.

Beginning Friday, March 21, fans from Arizona, Weber State, Gonzaga, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Tulsa, VCU and Stephen F. Austin will converge on Viejas Arena to cheer on their teams. Following are some tips about SDSU for out of town visitors.

Game schedules (approximate)

Trolley and bus stops throughout San Diego allow commuters to park and ride directly to campus. Trolley schedules and bus routes are available at the California Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre Information Booth.

Parking

General Parking is located at Parking Structures 2, 4, 5, & 6 and Q lot only. A $10 fee per vehicle is required at all event parking locations. Should money collectors not be present at the time of your arrival you will be required to purchase a pay machine permit for the length of time you are on campus. Pay permit machines are located in PS 4 on level 8, in PS 5 levels 1 & 2 on the north end of the structure in PS 6 on levels 1-3 and Q lot on the north/east corner. The university has also added Car2Go with charging stations in G Lot. You can register for this service online.

Eat at SDSU

SDSU has a multitude of dining options on campus.

The Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union features The Habit Burger, Chipotle and the Aztec Market. The Habit and Chipotle will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the market will open at 7 a.m. and close at 11 p.m.

The Starbucks in the Union will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.

East Commons will be closed, but the Aztec Market there will be open.

Smoke Free SDSU
