The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University was ranked as the 18th best business school in the nation for MBA programs available to military veterans by Military Times magazine.

Schools were assessed in five categories as they related to U.S. military veterans: university culture, student support, academic outcomes and quality, academic policies, and cost and financial aid.

SDSU was one of only two business schools in California ranked in the top 20. Military Times editors said 140 schools participated in the survey and the top 64 MBA programs were ranked by the magazine.

“Individuals who have selflessly served our nation deserve unparalleled support and encouragement as they transition from being military leaders into our future business leaders,” said Gangaram Singh, interim dean of SDSU’s College of Business Administration.

“Both SDSU and the College of Business Administration have long been stalwarts in innovating new measures to help our military veterans to achieve outstanding academic success.”

“To continue building on what we provide to our military population, we are expanding and reinforcing our community bonds through mentoring and outreach programs, continuing to provide the best resources available to assist veterans with their educational benefits and goals and maintaining a high level of commitment to those who have served our country,” said Todd Kennedy, the veterans coordinator for Enrollment Services.

In the Joan and Art Barron Veterans Center, veterans, reservists and active duty personnel, as well as their dependents, utilize resources that help with applying to the university, accessing military benefits and finding housing and employment.

SDSU is also home to the nation's first on-campus housing facility exclusively for veterans. The Veterans House offers a unique living experience for students with a large meeting space, study space, a full kitchen and patio. The co-ed complex offers priority residency to SDSU veterans, active duty, reservists and dependents.
