7 Things About Koray Kayhan
Kayhan knows all about having Aztec pride.
Koray Kayhan is a sophomore studying mechanical engineering at San Diego State University.
His home is halfway around the world in Istanbul, Turkey but he quickly adapted to the California lifestyle. When he isn't busy studying, you can find him skateboarding in Pacific Beach or surfing at La Jolla Shores. Kayhan is also involved with the club tennis team and the International Student Association.
1. Why did you choose SDSU?
I am from Istanbul, Turkey. When I decided that I wanted to study at a university in America, I chose to come to California simply because it’s California! SDSU was a great choice for me because it’s close to the beach and I love to surf and skateboard.
2. What inspired you to declare your major?
My love and interest for technology.
3. What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
Always smile.
4. What are your future goals?
To change the world with my ideas.
5. What is the first website you look at every day?
YouTube, unfortunately. I spend lots of time watching random videos.
6. What experience at SDSU has changed your life the most?
Living on my own and becoming an adult.
7. What is the most interesting or surprising thing about you?
I have a unique way of thinking. I have a photographic memory that comes in handy.
