1. Why did you choose SDSU?
I originally chose San Diego State University for the beautiful beaches and winning basketball team. I have found many other things to enjoy since I enrolled but nothing beats the sand and a fun game day.
2. What inspired you to declare your major?
I decided to declare hospitality and tourism management as my major because of my desire to make people happy. Customer service is such a special profession and I am excited for the opportunity to really affect someone’s experience on vacation or in a hotel.
3. What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
The best piece of advice I ever received was from Professor Adams. She told me, “Life is best in three to five year adventures.” I think this puts everything into a realistic perspective and always keeps life exciting. Variety is the spice of life and there is a great big world out there.
4. What are your future goals?
I would love to eventually be the general manager of a resort in a location that allows me to paddle board on my lunch breaks. Outside of work, I want a cool house, a beautiful wife and an awesome dog.
5. What is the first website you look at every day?
Before I get out of bed I will check my G-mail and my calendar at least two times.
6. What experience at SDSU has changed your life the most?
I think the most transformative experience I have had here was my freshman position in A.S. Since that opportunity my personality has changed, I have made new friends, I have grown personally and professionally and it has opened up so many doors. Other than that I would have to say the basketball game against New Mexico last year changed my life forever.
7. What is the most interesting or surprising thing about you?
One thing about me that a lot of people don’t know is that I have never missed a home SDSU football or basketball game.
