President Hirshman was invited into the KUSI studio to talk about the upcoming school year and the exciting things happening at SDSU.
Zura's new look
When SDSU re-opened Zura Hall, media from all over the county came out to cover Move-In Day, talking to students and parents who were blown away by the complete renovation of the 47-year-old building. KUSI met a dad who lived in Zura Hall 30 years ago as he moved into the new space and took a tour of the building. FOX 5 found out what students pack when they head off to college.
Back to school
On the first day of school, Brad Perry from KUSI came out to campus to talk to SDSU’s Associated Students executives to talk about the new school year and SDSU cheerleaders and dance team members closed out the show.
Rainbow recognition
SDSU was once again named one of the most LGBT friendly colleges in the country in the Campus Pride Index poll. The news was picked up by Washington Post and LGBT Weekly.
New home for Veterans Center
When the Joan and Art Barron Veterans Center opened the doors on its new home – which is twice the size of its original location – media came out in droves including The San Diego Union-Tribune, KPBS, FOX5 and KFMB.
