Mortar Board Honors Faculty and Staff
The event recognized faculty and staff who have made significant contributions to the education and academic achievement of the SDSU members of Mortar Board.
Mortar Board, the national honor society for college seniors, hosted the 26th Annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Donner in late November in Templo Mayor at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.
The purpose of the event is to honor those who have made significant contributions to the education and academic achievement of the SDSU members of Mortar Board.
Mortar Board members select honorees that represent the ideals upon which Mortar Board is based, including superior scholastic achievement, outstanding leadership and dedicated service.
Also honored at the event was Geoffrey Chase, recently retired dean of the Division of Undergraduate Studies, for his many years of support of the Mortar Board active and alumni chapter in San Diego. Casandra Neel, president of the San Diego Alumni Chapter, presented Chase with a clock in appreciation of his contributions to Mortar Board.
