The Aztec Hall of Fame celebrates accomplished SDSU athletes.
Where am I Wednesday visits spots around campus to share the history and significance of why each location makes SDSU great.
Marshall Faulk and Stephen Strasburg are names that most sports fans know. But there are hundreds of for San Diego State University athletes that paved the way for our athletics program as we know it today, and they don’t go without recognition.
The Fowler Athletics Center on the west side of campus, pays tribute to past greats of SDSU athletics. The facility is home to the WISE Foundation Hall of Fame and it displays exhibits honoring the accomplishments of SDSU athletes. It also celebrates the success of the Athletics programs.
The showcase details each athlete’s accomplishments along with life-sized action photos or figures including the most recent class of inductees: Billy Blanton (Football), Ed Imo (Football), Larry Godfrey (Track and Field), Karoline Koehler (Track and Field) and Anthony Watson (Men’s Basketball).
The 5,000-square foot museum is located on the first floor and is one of the centerpieces of the Fowler Athletic Center. It is open to everyone, so stop in a find out more about our Aztec Greats when you have the chance.
