The BFG Comes to SDSU
Take a look at the upcoming production of
Massive puppets, colorful costumes and lively actors will take the stage at San Diego State University's upcoming production of "The BFG (The Big Friendly Giant)."
The beloved children's book by Roald Dahl tells the tale of Sophie, an orphan, and her encounter with a giant — the BFG — responsible for providing children with good dreams. But the children of England are in peril, as a band of giants are plotting to eat them. Sophie and the BFG form an unlikely friendship to save the children.
The play will feature a unique set design, including a giant puppet, created by Eric Van Wyk. The show will run from April 22 through May 1 in SDSU's Don Powell Theatre.
The production is one of many vibrant arts-related events happening on campus this semester.
