1. Why did you choose San Diego State University?
I chose SDSU because it has a great business school and allowed me to stay in California, while also being away from home. Since I’m a marketing major, I also wanted to go to a school near a big city for business opportunities.
2. What inspired you to declare your major?
My AP psychology class in high school inspired me to pick marketing as my major because I enjoy the psychology behind it.
3. What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
The best piece of advice I ever received was that if you aren’t failing every day, you aren’t trying every day.
4. Which SDSU faculty or staff member has been the most influential throughout your SDSU journey?
The most influential SDSU faculty throughout my SDSU journey would be professor Heather Honea. She is the advisor for the Enviro-Business Society and has always been so supportive and helpful.
5. What experience at SDSU has changed your life the most?
My experience as the Enviro-Business Society’s president has definitely changed my life the most. It has helped me learn about what I am passionate about. I always want to have a job that has some sort of focus on sustainability.
6. What has been your proudest achievement while at SDSU?
My proudest achievement would also be becoming president of the Enviro-Business Society. It’s a position I had wanted ever since I joined the Enviro-Business Society my freshman year.
7. Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I see myself working in either San Diego or the Bay Area as a marketing coordinator for an architecture firm that has a large focus on building sustainability.
8. What’s your favorite thing about being an Aztec?
My favorite thing about being an Aztec is having the option to get involved in so many different organizations on campus that fit my needs and lifestyle.
