A More Intimate Commencement

SDSU clubs, organizations and departments will host numerous graduation ceremonies in addition to the main commencement festivities.

Each year, SDSU clubs, organizations and departments provide an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of graduates.

Each year, San Diego State University departments, clubs, organizations and affinity groups host numerous celebrations for their graduates. These events are not intended to replace the college commencement ceremonies at Viejas Arena, but rather to provide an opportunity to bring friends, family and the community together to celebrate the achievements of the graduates in a more intimate setting.

Below is a schedule of the cultural commencement ceremonies:

Celebration for Graduating Student Veterans

Note: This celebration is open to graduating Native American students in all majors and minors. It is also attended by students graduating from the Sycuan Institute on Tribal Gaming major.
