For the seventh straight season, San Diego State University men’s basketball finished the campaign ranked first among California schools in Division I average home attendance. The Aztecs averaged 12,196 fans for their 14 home games in 2016-17.

SDSU’s average home attendance ranked 25th nationally, which is a school record and up from its No. 29 ranking from last year. Prior to the 2015-16 season, the Aztecs ranked 27th the previous three campaigns (2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15), which was the program record.
