Padres to Host SDSU Night
The San Diego Padres will host SDSU Night on Friday, Aug. 18 for a fun-filled game against the Washington Nationals.
The SDSU band and spirit squads will perform in the Park at the Park prior to the game. Fans arriving early will also be treated to SDSU-themed entertainment and giveaway prizes.
SDSU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics John David Wicker and baseball head coach Mark Martinez will throw out the first pitch. Fowler College of Business Dean Lance Nail and SDSU Associated Students president Chimezie Ebiriekwe will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Padres on San Diego State University Night at Petco Park,” said Lisa Pearson, SDSU assistant athletic director of marketing and new media. “We are so thankful for our great relationship with the Padres and look forward to welcoming them to Padres Night with the Aztecs on Sept. 30 when the SDSU football team hosts Northern Illinois.”
The first 1,000 fans to purchase tickets through the SDSU ticket page will receive a commemorative SDSU-themed Padres hat. Tickets start at $23.50.
