Student Organization Spotlight: SHPE
The SDSU Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers mentors Hispanic students interested in the STEM fields.
Through the organization, students are offered academic support, career development opportunities and access to professional networking events.
SHPE president Alexia Reyes said joining the organization allowed her to engage with other students in the College of Engineering and representatives from various engineering companies. Her highlight with the organization was its first-place finish at Qualcomm’s first "Hack Juntos" Hackathon.
