Vending Machines Offer Easy COVID-19 Testing Access to Students, Employees
The Dr. Wellness Kiosks are now located on SDSU and SDSU Imperial Valley campuses.
The vending machines were secured through a partnership between SDSU and University of California San Diego, expanding COVID-19 testing access to members of the university community.
“Access to testing remains a critical offering during the ongoing pandemic,” said Agnes Wong Nickerson, Interim Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs and Chief Financial Officer.
“By providing access to this health technology, our students, faculty and staff, no matter their vaccination history, will be able to quickly and easily access COVID-19 tests throughout the day and into the evening.”
COVID-19 self-testing vending machine locations for SDSU, SDSU Imperial Valley and SDSU Brawley can be found using the university’s interactive campus map. Each kiosk offers tests that can be purchased at a nominal cost or at no cost by following the instructions on the machines.
Faculty, staff, students and those auxiliary employees with RedIDs may pick up a self-administered COVID-19 test kit at the vending machines. Any student or employee may access the vending machines, whether they are vaccinated or not.
Students, faculty and staff who need direct assistance with testing can request an appointment with Student Health Services through HealtheConnect. Additional COVID-19 testing and vaccination information is on the university’s COVID-19 site.
