Events include opportunities to celebrate SDSU history, support the annual food drive and honor fallen SDSU veterans, leading up to the Nov. 13 football game against the University of Nevada.

“Together As One” is the theme for this year’s homecoming at San Diego State University, set for the week of Nov. 8 - 13 and one year after a season of football games played in empty stadiums and virtual events.

The SDSU community is invited to attend this year’s homecoming week activities and football game. To help, the university is providing buses for students to attend the game at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson on Saturday, Nov. 13.

The week’s schedule includes the 25th annual War Memorial wreath-laying ceremony.A FunRun through campus in support of Aztecs Rock Hunger a number of other fun events round out the celebration.

Pep Rally

Join the kickoff of Homecoming events with the Pep Rally. Various performances, announcements, and activities are planned for this year’s Pep Rally.  

Aztecs Rock Hunger Carnival
Tuesday, Nov. 9
11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Conrad Prebys
Aztec Student Union Courtyard

The Aztecs Rock Hunger Carnival supports the annual campus food drive which provides the food, including fresh produce, that is distributed at the on-campus A.S. Food Pantry. Additionally, 20% of the monetary donations go directly to the SDSU Economic Crisis and Response Team (ECRT), which helps students facing food or housing insecurity, and/or other immediate, unforeseen financial crises.  

This year’s carnival will feature traditional carnival games and anyone who brings five cans of non-perishable food items during the event will be able to exchange them for a 2021 Homecoming shirt, while supplies last.

Creative As One is an opportunity to share your creative side with a range of activities including painting, button-making, and more.

Show off how well you know SDSU history at SDSU Trivia Night. Compete in teams or show up solo and show what you know about campus history, achievements, and more. 

War Memorial Ceremony

The memories of fallen SDSU Aztecs military veterans will be honored at the 25th Annual War Memorial wreath-laying ceremony on the Aztec Green. Pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice during our nation’s military conflicts.

The annual National Pan-Hellenic Council Yard Show is an opportunity for sororities and fraternities to showcase their chapter’s history.

This year’s FunRun starts and ends at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union and takes participants around campus. Participants can enjoy free food, a photo booth and giveaways, and are encouraged to bring canned and non-perishable items to the FunRun to support Aztecs Rock Hunger. Homecoming Game vs. University of Nevada Saturday, Nov. 13

Dignity Health Sports Park - Carson, California

SDSU’s annual homecoming football game has been set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 when the Aztecs take on the University of Nevada. Details on the game as well as COVID-19 policies that will be in place can be found on the SDSU Athletics and Dignity Health Sports Park websites.
