Winter Session 2022 Registration Now Open
SDSU Global Campus is again offering a slate of online courses between the fall and spring semesters.
San Diego State University Global Campus is offering a wide slate of online courses during Winter Session.
Winter Session 2022 courses offer students an opportunity to accelerate their graduation or explore a subject of interest. The session is open to SDSU students, students from other colleges and universities, high school graduates, and working professionals. Students are limited to three units during the Winter Session courses, which are accelerated and rigorous due to the shorter timeline.
Winter Session has grown since it was revived by Global Campus in 2018 following a nearly two-decade hiatus. In 2021, Winter Session saw 773 enrollments in 30 different course offerings ranging from social psychology and nutrition to the history of popular American music.
“This is the fourth year Global Campus has hosted Winter Session, and we're excited to see how quickly it has grown,” said Jonny Holt, SDSU Global Campus academic program director. “We've got 10 new courses being offered as well as a number of returning favorites, so there's something for almost everyone.”

Winter Session has proven popular with students. Among 2020 Winter Session students surveyed:
- 85% would take another Winter Session course
- 92% felt they had sufficient time to complete assignments and coursework
- 95% felt they received adequate support from instructors
