Aztecs Earn 47 Academic All-Mountain West Honors
Football earned the most awards among Aztecs who competed in the fall semester.
San Diego State had 47 student-athletes earn Academic All-Mountain West designation for the fall semester, the conference announced Wednesday from the Mountain West's office in Colorado Springs, Colo.
To be eligible for 2021 Fall Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and competed in at least 50 percent of the teams contests.
With 20 honorees, football earned the most awards among Aztecs who competed in the fall semester. Women's cross country had the second most with 10 honorees, while women's volleyball had nine and women's soccer had eight awards.
