SDSU's Season Ends at NCAA Nationals
Jenna Fee Feyerabend and Simone Johnson posted impressive 2023 campaigns.

The Aztecs wrapped up their 2023 season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships Saturday evening, at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas. Jenna Fee Feyerabend placed 11th overall in the heptathlon, while Simone Johnson finished 11th in the triple jump.
Fee Feyerabend posted a solid opening mark to the second day of competition in the long jump. The sophomore finished 12th overall, earning 822 points in the event with a leap of 19-04.75.
As for the javelin throw, Fee Feyerabend added 660 points to her total score with a throw of 130-0 (39.62m), earning a 13th place finish in the event.
In the final event of the day for Fee Feyerabend, the 800m, Fee Feyerabend placed ninth overall with a mark of 2:20.75.
Fee Feyerabend earned an 11th overall finish in the heptathlon with 5742 total points.
To round out the weekend of competition for the Aztecs, Junior Simone Johnson represented the Scarlet and Black in the triple jump. Johnson finished her strong junior campaign by jumping 44-00.50 to finish second in her flight and 11th overall.
Both Fee Feyerabend and Johnson posted impressive 2023 campaigns overall as both won medals after top three finishes at the 2023 Mountain West Conference Championships in their respective events.

The Aztecs' Jenna Fee Feyerabend and Simone Johnson are off to the NCAA Outdoor Championships this Friday through Saturday, held at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas. All events will be broadcast and available to watch on the family of ESPN networks.
Johnson punched her ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the triple jump while Fee Feyerabend previously earned an automatic qualifier spot in the heptathlon after ranking in the top 24 in the country.
Both Fee Feyerabend and Johnson will make their return to the national stage after competing in the NCAA Indoor Championships earlier this season.
Junior Johnson earned her ticket to the championships after a phenomenal triple jump performance of 43-09.25, finishing 10th overall at the NCAA West Preliminary round in Sacramento.
Sophomore Fee Feyerabend will compete in the heptathlon championships after solidifying her place in the Top 24 performances after earning a gold medal at the 2023 Mountain West Outdoor Championships. Her performance of 5752 points set a new PR and the third best mark in SDSU outdoor history.
The heptathlon competition will begin Friday with the 100m hurdles (12:45 p.m. PT) followed by the high jump (1:45 p.m. PT), shot put (3:45 p.m. PT), and 200m (7:43 p.m. PT) to complete the day. The action will continue on Saturday with the heptathlon long jump at 2 p.m. PT followed by the javelin throw beginning at 3:15 p.m. PT. The weekend will wrap up with the triple jump at 6:10 p.m. PT and 800m, the final event of the heptathlon, before the trophy presentation.
