Men's Soccer: Aztecs win WAC regular season championship

The San Diego men’s soccer team (10-4-3, 7-0-1) shutout Air Force 2-0 in the regular season finale to complete their undefeated WAC season and clinch the regular season championship.

This is San Diego State’s first conference championship in school history.

The San Diego State University men’s soccer team (10-4-3, 7-0-1) shutout Air Force 2-0 in the regular season finale to complete their undefeated WAC season and clinch the regular season championship.

The Aztecs went 7-0-1 in conference play and shut out their opponent in six of their eight matches.

This is San Diego State’s first conference championship in school history.

SDSU outshot Air Force 17-5 and allowed just one shot on goal.

The Aztecs scored in the 29th minute on a Terence Okoeguale penalty kick. This came after Robbie Matei was taken down in the box.

SDSU scored again in the 55th minute when Reid Fisher headed in a cross from Austin Brummett. This was Fisher’s first goal of the season.

Djibril Doumbia, the reigning WAC Goalkeeper of the Week, recorded his fourth straight shutout.
