About the Major

Our department of biology offers a dynamic and modern program which will prepare you academically and practically for science and science-related fields and entry into graduate studies. Special studies opportunities with SDSU faculty and scientists at cooperating institutions allow qualified students to gain research experience on an individual basis.

Program Highlights

Formal programs of study within the major include emphases in cell and molecular biology, ecology, evolutionary biology, marine biology, and zoology.
