About the Major
At SDSU Geography, our mission is to train students to tackle pressing environmental and social challenges with global perspectives, local consideration, and cutting-edge technology. We emphasize high-impact learning experiences such as field trips, internships, research, technical training, study abroad, and courses that include community service or partnerships with government or business.
Program Highlights
You can explore physical, environmental, and human geography, and gain skills in geographic Information systems and other methodologies. We offer a flexible curriculum, allowing you to specialize in environment, sustainability, and policy; human geography and global studies; water, climate, and ecosystems; and geographic information science and technology.
