German
Bachelor of Arts
About the Major
The German major is a full immersion program. Students become fluent in German (CEFR levels B2/C1) and attain a nuanced understanding of history, culture, and contemporary issues in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland—vibrant hubs for business and innovation in the heart of Europe. A dedicated team of experienced professors provides mentorship and guidance.
Program Highlights
With small class sizes, you will become part of a close group of passionate individuals and develop not only your language skills, but also your understanding of the amazing cultural contributions of German-speaking Europe to literature, philosophy, music, art, theater, and more—from the middle ages to the present day. The German major requires students to minor in another field, and completing a study abroad experience is highly encouraged.
