About the Major
Information systems is a field of study for students interested in using information technology (IT) and computer systems to maintain information resources and to provide timely and accurate information at all levels of an organization to support decision-making. These systems have become a bedrock in organizations to remain competitive and responsive to continuously changing business environments. To support the organizational mission, students learn the design, development, implementation, and management of information systems with distinct functions and capabilities.
Program Highlights
This program provides curriculums that equip students with skills and knowledge to be an effective force in creating, managing, processing, and communicating operational, tactical, and strategic information at an organization so that it remains responsive to continuously changing technological and business environments. To facilitate the transformational learning process, students also engage in research on cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, advanced data analytics, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), digital innovation, and supply chain management.
