About the Major
If you have a love of fitness and are interested in a career in health and wellness, our kinesiology major is a great option. Whether you choose to work in a laboratory, school, medical, or business setting, you'll be trained in how to improve the health and well-being of people. Exercise science generalist, fitness specialist, and pre-physical therapy emphases are offered.
Program Highlights
You'll enroll in courses that explore movement as it affects and is affected by physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and mechanical parameters. You''ll learn how movement is quantified, how learning experiences are sequenced to modify movement behaviors, and how movement is modified for special needs.
