About the Major
This major has two pathways. The first prepares students to teach science/physics in middle or high school. The second is to work in fields that connect science to policy and society. You'll graduate with a strong background in the physical sciences and gain hands-on experience communicating about physical science to students and the general public.
Program Highlights
After completing lower-division requirements, you'll take more advanced classes in astronomy, communication, ethics, geology, math, sociology, teacher education, and physics.
