Just days after breaking ground on SDSU Mission Valley, SDSU President Adela de la Torre announced the universitys new strategic plan in an all-campus address.

Named for the first Black graduate in SDSUs origins as a teachers college, the program strives to help freshmen succeed academically and socially.

The inaugural Faculty Forward Awards recognize instructional faculty members who were especially agile and dedicated to student support in the ongoing pandemic.

The Princeton Review acknowledged SDSUs affordability, academic offerings and quality student experience.

The top, student-generated videos will be used to promote staying safe and healthy.

In a suite of changes to support individual and community health, SDSU is requiring facial coverings, restricting campus access and reducing the number of people physically on campus.

New Student and Family Convocation will be held virtually on Aug. 22.

With the first shovels in the ground at the Mission Valley stadium site, the long-term vision for a campus expansion, new stadium, Innovation District, and River Park is now under construction.

The new dean previously served as associate dean for faculty affairs and inclusion in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Arizona.

The recipients will be recognized for their contributions on Aug. 19.
