San Diego State earns high marks for value and graduation rates

The junior is one of six California State University students honored for their leadership in community service and advocating Black excellence

High school teachers Maria Miller and Jennifer Ekstein both earned credentials and master’s degrees from SDSU’s School of Teacher Education.

Postdoctoral scholar M. Brooke Rose and her mentor, Janet Franklin, were recognized by the Ecological Society of America and the American Association of Geographers for co-authored study.

Since the launch of the strategic plan, many new student centers, scholarships, basic needs efforts and other services have been introduced at SDSU and SDSU Imperial Valley to aid undergraduate and graduate students.

The strategic plan has resulted in an enhanced model for SDSU communications with new centralized resources, more staff support for academic colleges, an expansive database of marketing resources and more – all driving high records of university visibility nationally and internationally.

Football led the way with 21 honorees for the fall semester.
