Campus International Experience Requirements
Over 30 SDSU Majors and Minors have an International Experience Requirement. Specific guidelines vary by each academic program, and it may either be required or only recommended; please contact the individual academic department for more details.
- Africana Studies Major
- European Studies Major (All European studies majors are required to complete a study abroad program in a European country)
- French Major (All French majors are required to complete an approved study abroad program in a French-speaking country)
- German Major (All German majors are required to complete an approved study abroad program in a German-speaking country)
- International Business Major (As part of the degree requirements for the International Business major, students must complete a semester abroad in their region and language of emphasis)
- International Emphasis in Economics Major
- International Security and Conflict Resolution Major & Minor
- Italian Minor (recommended)
- Latin American Studies Major (All LATAM majors students must earn a minimum of three units by participating in a Latin American international experience)
- LGBT Studies Major (recommended)
- Russian Major (All Russian majors are required to complete a study abroad program in Russia or any other Slavic-language speaking country)
- Spanish Major (All Spanish majors are required to complete an approved study abroad program in a Spanish-speaking country)
